The Full Circle of Life!

It did not strike me  when I captured this frame of two young boys playing with the tyre of a two wheeler that this could give me a lesson about the past, which in reflection has got a powerful message of life turning back a full circle.

It was one such evening during my photo walk in the region near to my home which has lots of paddy fields, I came across two youngsters happily running with the tyre as their recreation in the evening amidst the hectic city life a little further from their place.

Their reaction was so natural when I took out to capture the moment; they even stopped for me and gave me a good pose which made my day.

Interestingly, this was one of the common play material / activity for the kids who grew up in the late sixties and early seventies. There was so much joy in running behind the tyres, navigating it with a small piece of stick in the hands. This was so engrossing that many would fall down and get hurt with bruises, at times with cut injuries too, yet the boys and girls would not relent, they would happily go on and on.

Coming back to the context of this photo in the present times, when we are locked down with the pandemic that is threatening us day in and day out. We must have by now come to the realization that in this world of uncertainty, it is certainly the quality and content of life that we live is all that matters.

No amount of money or scientific gadgets can give us a permanent joy in life and it will always be thrown off gear when we encounter something unimaginable.

The boys of Panangadi have been able to enjoy their evening recreation with what they had in hand, rather than sulking with what they do not have. Whatever social status that we have been identified with or whatever position that we have professionally, the message is loud and clear. Life has come a full circle now to remind us that we have to find joy and happiness with what we have, in whatever conditions that we exist.

It is no secret that existing itself is a precious gift in the present times, especially with the backdrop of the viral spread of the pandemic.

Let us make the most of it by being safe within our own environment!
